ISLRTC has successfully signed an MoU with the AWES, Shankar Vihar,
New Delhi under the chairpersonship of the Secretary, DEPWD, on 8th August 2024 at
DEPWD, New Delhi... This MoU aims to train school
administrators, students, parents, and teachers in promoting Indian Sign Language,
enhancing sign language skills among Army Public School
faculty. Dr. N. Honnareddy, Director of ISLRTC, and Maj Gen P.R.Murali, Managing
Director, AWES, signed and exchanged the MoUs, marking a significant step towards
collaboration and development in the field of Indian Sign Language. This
collaboration will enhance the reach and efficacy of ISL initiatives, contributing
to the empowerment and inclusion of the Deaf community. Col KK Sharma, Director
Schools AWES, Ms. Manisha Verma, faculty, Inclusive Education, AWES, and Dr.
Abhishek Kr. Srivastava, Asst. Professor, ISLRTC were also present.
